The Eagles breezed through yet another week as they defeated Paris this Friday night with a final score of 53 to 7. Ian Sadler, who committed to Texas Tech last year, found the end zone 5 different times by the end of the game, and Texas Tech head football coach, Kliff Kingsbury, was there to observe. The game had become a blowout by the end of the first quarter, with Eagles leading 23-0. The Eagles defense was extremely impressive, holding the Paris offense to 7 points, catching 3 interceptions, and forcing 3 fumbles. Senior, Jon Pucciarello, saved an interception by knocking the ball out of the defender’s hands, along with a spectacular one handed grab in the second half. Many Eagles were able to experience playing time on Friday on both sides of the ball.
The Eagles travel to Kennedale this Friday, hoping to continue their undefeated season and their quest to the state championship game.
