Week 2 Predictions

Sunday Slate:

Raiders @ Bills (12:00PM BUF -9.5)

The Raiders (1-0) visit the Bills in Buffalo (0-1). The Bills are coming off an upset loss to the divisional rival Jets while the Raiders are coming off a win against their own division rival Broncos, led by new coach Sean Payton. The Bills should win this game as they are Super Bowl contenders however; Josh Allen had 4 turnovers which led to their loss, the Raiders played a defensive game against a weak Denver offense and came out on top by a point.

Despite the Bills week 1 loss, I have them beating the Raiders 34-20, I will take Buffalo on the over.

Ravens @ Bengals (12:00PM CIN -3.5)

An AFC North matchup between the 2 division favorites (although I have the Browns winning the division with a loaded team and weak schedule). The Bengals (0-1) had one of the worst offensive performances in the Joe Burrow era while the Ravens (1-0) took care of business against Houston. Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense are due for a resurgence especially considering the contract Burrow just signed which made him the highest annually paid player in NFL history.

I have the Bengals winning a down to the wire game 24-21, I will take the Ravens to cover the spread.

Chiefs @ Jaguars (12:00PM KC -3.5)

This game has upset alert written all over it. The Chiefs (0-1) may be without their star TE Travis Kelce and just came off an embarrassing loss to the Detroit Lions on kickoff night. The Jaguars (1-0) beat the Colts by 10 despite a good effort by rookie QB Anthony Richardson.

This game will be my upset of the week. Give me the Jaguars 27-20, I will be take the Jags to cover the spread.

Chargers @ Titans (12:00PM LAC -3.0)

The Chargers (0-1) lost an offensive shootout 36-34 to the Miami Dolphins, the defensive did not look great but Miami is loaded offensively so I take the 36 points allowed lightly. The offense led by QB Justin Herbert looked sharp under former Cowboys OC Kellen Moore. The Titans (0-1) lost to the Saints by 1 point in a low scoring game. Derrick Henry looked subpar and was not even on the field in the final drive.

Despite that this game had me scratching my head because something about it seems deceiving. However, give me the Chargers 28-26, I will take the Titans to cover.

Packers @ Falcons (12:00PM GB -1.5)

The Packers (1-0) blew up a hyped Chiacgo (0-1) team. Jordan Love looked pretty good in his first start as the next generation of Packers legends. However, Green Bay has proven to be pretty terrible on the road and the Falcons are coming off a dominant win over Carolina with Bijan Robinson looking like the star RB they envisioned.

Give me the Falcons 20-17, I will take the Falcons to cover.

Seahawks @ Lions (12:00PM DET -5.5)

The Seahawks (0-1) take a trip to the Motor City which hasn’t seen it’s engines running this loud in years. The Lions (1-0) are hot, they’re good, I have them winning the NFC North and potentially doing damage in January, they can behead the 3 headed monster of Dallas, Philly, and San Fran. The Seahawks on the other hand got absolutely embarrassed by the Rams losing 30-10. Everything Seattle related looked terrible and the Lions just upset the defending champs.

Give me the Lions 36-20, I will take the Lions on the over.

Colts @ Texans (12:00PM IND -1.0)

The battle of the bottom 2 teams in the AFC South, although both have promise and potential. Both teams are coming into this game 0-1 under rookie QB’s CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson. The battle is going to be which QB can take that leap first and secure their first NFL win.

I think Anthony Richardson is better and will play better but give me the Texans 21-20 because they are better outside the QB position. I will take the Texans to cover.

Bears @ Buccaneers (12:00PM TB -2.5)

2 words…Baker Mayfield. That man came into a broken Bucs team with the retirement of Tom Brady. He came into a team without a plan and leader but Mayfield still found a way to step up in the 2nd half and take down the Vikings on the road. The Bears (0-1) got killed despite the hype surrounding Justin Fields and their new offense. Whatever offense these fans were talking about must’ve had an off week because no one showed up.

Give me the Buccaneers 27-17, I will take the Bucs on the over.

Afternoon Slate:

NY Giants @ Cardinals (3:05PM NYG -5.5)

The battle between the worst team in the league vs the team that is on pace to have a -680 point differential. The Giants (0-1) got manhandled by a star-studded Cowboys defense that is looking to lead them to the promise land. The Cardinals (0-1) lost but they are just flat out bad, but they gave the Commanders and Sam Howell a run for their money.

Give me the Cardinals to upset 16-14, I will take the Cardinals to cover.

49ers @ Rams (3:05PM SF -8.0)

I will keep this matchup between San Francisco (1-0) and LA (1-0) simple and quick. The 49ers looked like arguably the best team in the NFL and while the Rams took care of Seattle, they haven’t beat San Francisco in this decade (2019 was the last time). I have this Super Bowl contending 49ers running through their schedule until their Week 5 matchup against Dallas.

Give me the 49ers 31-20, I will take San Francisco on the over.

Commanders @ Broncos (3:25PM DEN -3.5)

This game will be a defensive game. Both offenses have potential but just…won’t. The Commanders (1-0) scored 20 points and the Broncos (0-1) only gave up 17…but scored 16.

Give me the Commanders to win 17-14, I will take Washington to cover.

Cowboys @ Jets (3:25PM DAL -9.0)

Simple, the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl, they are the greatest franchise known to mankind. They only play primetime and are worth so much you could combine multiple other franchises and still be less valuable than Dallas. The Jets don’t have A-Rod, simple.

Give me Dallas 40-0 again. I will obviously take Dallas on the over.

Sunday Night Football:

Dolphins @ Patriots (7:20PM MIA -2.5)

A historic divisional rivalry continues. This time the Dolphins (1-0) are the big dogs while the Patriots (0-1) are looking to find the win column. Miami’s offense exploded in Los Angeles and I expect the same at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots just don’t have the roster they used to, however; they don’t look bad there is potential.

Give me the Dolphins to win 28-24, I will take the Patriots to cover.

Monday Night Football:

Saints @ Panthers (6:15PM NO -3.0)

An NFC South battle that has a lot of implications because the NFC is up for grabs by everyone. All 4 teams are solid, none great, none terrible. I could see 2 of them sneaking into the playoffs after last years abysmal showing of that division. The Saints (1-0) barely beat the Titans while the Panthers (0-1) already lost to division rival Atlanta.

Give me the Saints to win 23-20, I will take a split on this game.

Browns @ Steelers (7:15PM CLE -2.5)

Another AFC North battle between the 2 “little brothers”. The Browns (1-0) already desimated the Bengals 24-3 last weeks and under a newfound era of Deshaun Watson (who is a bad man) the Browns are looking to go back to contender territory. They have a loaded defense under Myles Garrett and star offensives players in Nick Chubb and Amari Cooper. The Steelers (0-1) had hype and have not had a losing season under Mike Tomlin (19 seasons) but it will be hard to do that this year because they looked bad and will look bad again.

Give me the Browns to win 27-14, I will take the Browns on the over.
