This Friday night the Girls Varsity basketball team decisively won against Roosevelt High School, with a final score of 66-36. After a tense first two minutes devoid of scores by either team, Vivian Gray set the momentum with her first score. Gray scored at least half of the points in the first half, assisted by Delaney Sain and Jocelyn Pierce. Madison Ralston and Jesse Sheridan also stood out on defense. Further points by Allison White and Claire Betzhold in the latter half helped solidify the girls’ victory. The fans roared their approval and one parent in the crowd could be heard vociferously chanting in unison with the cheerleaders, “We are the best!” And tonight that cry rang true.
