Texas A&M Commerce Field House was filled to brim Saturday as the Lady Eagles took on Celina in the UIL 3A Region II Championship game. Although the game was not what many had expected, Head Coach Skip Townsend wouldn’t have had it any differently.
“Anytime two teams have this kind of rivalry between schools, this is exactly what kind of game you expect it’s going to be,” Coach Townsend said.
The presentation of the trophy followed shortly after.
The Lady Eagles will compete against the Navarro Panthers in the state semifinals at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX.
