This year’s wrestling team has a new face in head coach Bobby Morse, but with that comes some growing pains. With a loss of some key seniors and a few underclassmen, the team currently does not have enough to fill each weight class, which would put them in contention to win an overall tournament or dual. However, there are still some key individuals that are performing very well.
This past week the team met up with Springtown to dual on our home turf and had a strong showing despite each weight class not being filled. The senior captain, Mikie Kozoil and junior Griffin Maestes, both won their matches. There are no more home duals, but the next wrestling event is the 12-Team Jam at Northwest High school on Jan. 17-18. Come out and support the wrestling team.
The final overall point score ended at Springtown 35, Argyle 15.
