Full House vs Fuller House

On Feb. 26, 2016, the spin off of the show Full House aired on Netflix. Fuller House shows the original cast of Full House 29 years later.

In Full House, the Dad, Danny Tanner, is widowed and has to raise his three daughters. In Fuller House, Danny Tanner is married to his new wife, Rebecca. Danny and Rebecca want to sell their house in San Francisco before his daughter D.J. moves back home. D.J. married a man named Tommy Fuller but he died while in line of duty as a firefighter. Therefore, D.J. is forced to move back home with her three sons and asks friends and family to help her raise them.

“The main difference would be that in full house they raised the three girls,” junior Molly Sheridan said. “In Fuller House the main characters are raising three boys.”

Since the show is on Netflix, Fuller House is able to have an episode as long or as short as they want. Using Netflix also brings more benefits.

“I love watching shows on Netflix because then there aren’t any commercials,” freshman Charleigh Lowry said.

Some feel aspects from the original show continue into the Netflix original.

“My least favorite part of the show is that the acting isn’t the best at times,” Sheridan said.

Overall, Fuller House follows the same story line as Full House, and the audience is able remember the characters they used to love.

“My favorite part about Fuller House is that the comedy is the same as the comedy on Full House,” Sheridan said. “I’m able to follow the episodes along really well.”
