Sophomore Miranda Downe has been dancing for 11 years at the Denton Ballet Academy. This past Christmas was her second year to perform the lead role of Clara in the Festival Ballet of North Texas rendition of “The Nutcracker.” She loves the freeing feeling dance gives her as well as the life lessons. Although sometimes it is difficult to stay in dance, Miranda ultimately knows it is her passion.
