Avery Austin, Reporter

Living in the DFW area, it can be difficult to choose where to go to the movies with so many options. When deciding which place to go, you must take price and food quality into consideration. The following theaters are the closest and most reviewed ones in the area.

AMC Highland Village 12

AMC Highland Village 12 is where most Argyle residents tend to go. AMC has an advantage because it is located in the center of the Highland Village town square, so you can go shopping or go eat before you see a movie. AMC is a little more expensive than most theaters, but it is very clean and has better service than most; which makes up for the cost.

Cinemark 14

Cinemark 14 is located in Denton. This theater isn’t as crowded as AMC, so you have a better chance of getting good seats in case show up to a movie late. Cinemark is, also, much cheaper than AMC; it is about $8.25 to see a movie, where AMC is about $10.

Carmike

Carmike is located in Hickory Creek, which is a little further away than the other two. It may not be the most pristine theater with the greatest food, but it is cheaper than other nearby theaters. Carmike is the perfect place to go when on a college budget, but still wanting to see some of the newest movies.

The Movie Tavern

The Movie Tavern is located in Denton and is different from the others because you get to order food while watching the movie. To order, you simply press a button and then a waiter comes to your side. They provide comfortable chairs and enjoyable food which makes for an overall great experience.

The Coyote Drive-In

The Coyote Drive-in is located in Fort Worth. This theater is remarkably unique in the fact that one is able to watch the movie from the comfort of their car while the audio for the movie is played through a specific radio station. Then the movies itself is projected on huge screens while the Fort Worth skyline lying in the background giving it a scenic  view with an old-fashioned feel. The food at this particular outdoor theater is found at the Coyote Concessions, where they serve just about everything you could imagine wanting. The drive-in is a cute, fun place to go when you want to change up your movie-going habits.
