UIL journalism team wins awards at 2021 Centex UIL invitational.

Ashley Henderson and Stacy Short

This past weekend, our journalism team competed virtually against other teams in Texas for their first official UIL invitational. This is the first time to compete in an official meet for all of our team members.

There were 1900 entries, and we were divided up into class and divisions. In the 4A Division III class, we competed against Pleasant Grove, little Cypress, Kilgore, and ourselves. There were about 50 entries in each of the events.

Congratulations to all of the team for their placings in the 2021 Centex UIL invitational.
