The Argyle Eagles took part in the Fred Willis Memorial Scholarship Tournament hosted by the North Texas High School Golf Coaches Association at Lake Park. Coach Willis, Fast Freddy, was highly regarded across North Texas spending many years leading the Lewisville High School golf program. The ladies battled Mother Nature as well as the course due to heavy rain and the first cool weather of the season. As the only 4A School in the field, the girls played from the men’s tees, but scored their lowest round of the season, shooting 360.  The tournament was won by Coppell, who edged out Highland Park and Rockwall. The Eagles were again led by Madelyn Diomede, sophomore, as well as Molly Yarbrough, senior, who both shot 87. The Eagles will next travel to Granbury to play in the Lady Pirate Invitational at Harbor Lakes on October 26-27.
