As district play comes to an end, the boys and girls soccer teams have their last game March 12th vs Celina High School. Both teams have had their ups and downs this season, but hope to push through and make a big appearance in playoffs.

“Our team is very young this year,” senior Holly Higgs said.

Since the graduation of five key seniors last year, the girls soccer team is doing their best to overcome the amount of adversity in the team that comes with being so young.

“One of our strengths is determinations we wall want to win,” senior Kesleigh Boone said.

Currently the Lady Eagles are placed fourth in district, but still have a high chance of advancing in playoffs.

“The exciting thing about this team is just the up side to keep improving every game, and keep getting better,” girls soccer head coach Marc Koke said. “The potential for this team is just through the roof.”

The boys soccer are currently 12-3-2, and clench second in district.

“We have come a long way,” boys soccer head coach Ben Parks said.

According to Coach Parks they have had a few learning curves, and growing pains throughout this season, but each week and day they have gotten better as individuals and collectively.

“I’m excited about the team’s potential,” Koke said.
