The Eagles Volleyball team won all three games against  Midlothian Heritage winning 25-22, 25-19, and 25-11 to improve to 23-10 on the season. Seniors Allison White, Maddie Deguire, and Halee Van Poppel were all very impressive in the sweep. On Tuesday, the Eagles swept Princeton 25-10, 25-11, and 25-8 lead by Seniors Van Poppel, Deguire, and Sophomore Paxton McGlinch. The Eagles will enter district as winners of two matches in a row and 8 out of their last 10 games.

The Eagles look to repeat as state champions despite losing many key players to the college ranks. However, this team does not lack talent with two division 1 commits with White (Texas Tech) and Van Poppel (Belmont) leading the way for Argyle. The road back to the state championship will not be easy as the Eagles start district play on Friday with a home game against Sanger.

The team enters district play on a high note after a rough start to the season against some very tough competition. However, the Eagles remains positive knowing how important the tough games early in the season are.

“We played pretty much all 6A teams and maybe two 5A teams and seeing how fast they hit, how they set up their offence, and defense,” junior Danielle Davis said. “It really helped us getting to where we need to be faster and overall preparing us for for playoffs.”
