‘Views’ Lives up to Expectations

Recently Drake released his new album “Views”. Drake, a singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada, built anticipation for his new album by releasing 4 songs prior to its debut, April 29. Drake began composing the album in September of 2015.
Since “Views” was a long time coming, the album was streamed 245 million times within the first seven days of being released along with 852,000 copies of the album sold within the first seven days. This being the greatest number of albums sold within the opening week of 2016.
Views contains twenty-one songs that tell the story of how Drake came to be the artist that he is today. The album features artists such as PARTYNEXTDOOR, Future, Rihanna, and many others. Drake put a new twist on his newly released album by adding a more Caribbean twist to the songs. The album is a perfect mix between slow songs and party songs. His song “One Dance” currently holds the number one spot on the iTunes hit list along with a multitude of others making it into the other nine spots.
All in all the amount of people who have viewed and purchased this album proves that it is amazing. Therefore, all the anticipation for the album was well worth it.
