Chocolatey Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies
Very quick and easily made, these cookies are sure to become a favorite! The chocolate, oatmeal, and peanut butter make for a nutty texture, with an option to substitute the smooth peanut butter with crunchy for a more bold, crunchy taste. You can eat them at room temperature, or store in the freezer which is a common favorite until ready to eat.
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 4 Tablespoons Cocoa
- 1 Stick Butter
- ½ Cup Milk
- 1 Cup Peanut Butter (Crunchy or Smooth)
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
- 3 Cups Oatmeal
- Waxed Paper
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan bring to a boil, the sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk. Let boil for 1 minute then add peanut butter, vanilla, and oatmeal. On a sheet of wax paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonful until cooled and solid. Best if frozen!
