Seaside, Florida recently became a popular destination for vacation in the summer. Seaside is located in between Destin and Panama City, so it is the perfect place to stop in between cities. The highway that runs through the town is called 30A and it is a very well known highway. Seaside is located on the Gulf of Mexico.

If you are planning to go to seaside there isn’t much to do, so make sure you are prepared. The town has the motto, “A simple, beautiful life.”  Which it definitly lives up to that motto considering Seaside is a very relaxed beach town. To get around Seaside you normally ride your bikes or walk to the beach. You have to be prepared to spend the whole day at the beach. Seaside does not have many tourist attractions, so if you want to go to the mall or movies you’ll have to go to Destin.

Seaside contains a neighborhood of brightly colored houses. Each house is biking distance from the town center. In the town center there is a stage where there are performances throughout the whole summer. There are also many restaurants and shops on the sqaure. Including a popular snow cone stand called, Frost Bites.

The beaches of Seaside contain very clear blue water and white sandy beaches. To get down to the beach you have to walk down bridges. At night time you can go looking for crabs with a flash light.

Seaside has many fun activities you can do. You can go paddle boarding, which is my personal favorite. Paddle boarding is like kayaking, but instead you stand up. There is kayaks and canoes you can rent too. You can also go on an animal tour where you ride a sail boat out into the ocean. Whenever I went on the sail boat tour, I saw a sea turtle.

If you really enjoy the wilderness you can go camping at Deer Lake State Park. You can ride a bike on a trail from the park to Seaside. The beaches are very pretty and they aren’t as crowded as Seaside beaches.

Seaside is a great place to go with your friends or family. Being at the beach is the best way to spend your summer vacation. If you are wanting to relax this summer make sure to go to Seaside. I suggest Seaside is the place to be this summer!!
