After the girl’s varsity basketball team won their game 63-34 against Wilmer-Hutchins, the boy’s varsity basketball team defeated North Hills Prep in their bi-district matchup 68-24.

The whole boy’s team contributed in a one-sided event in Flower Mound Marcus HS gymnasium.

“We played well as a team,” sophomore David Davis said. “We got a lot of shots up, we played good defense, and it was an overall good win.”

The game was essentially decided by the third quarter, allowing the whole team to add to the performance.

“Everybody got points up,” senior Kade Barnett said, “even the move ups.”

While the Eagles have dominated all season, this win has extra significance as it allows Argyle to advance to the area playoff round.

“Every playoff game is tough coming in with nerves and stuff,” Davis said, “but it was good coming in and getting the win.”

Argyle hopes to continue their winning streak next week and keep their state championship hopes alive.

“We have good momentum,” Barnett said. “The team we’re playing next, we already beat them once so we should do good.”
