Class of 2024, watching you grow and transform throughout your high school career has been such an inspiring and motivating experience. Having a sister and many people I love graduating today, it is an extremely bittersweet experience.
As many of you may already know and are experiencing, growing up is extremely scary. From now on, you will never live under the same roof as your parents or siblings, drive down the same roads, or make the same late-night Sonic runs. Yet, with all of these “never agains” are a million more “firsts”. Your first time walking across campus, making new best friends, and hopefully studying something that excites and inspires you.
I hope that you will look back at your time at Argyle and remember those who have helped you get to the point that you are today. We are so blessed to have teachers and staff members who have done all they could to watch us achieve. No matter what each of your futures may hold, I hope that your definition of success is waiting on the other side for you, ready to transform your life for the better. Always remember that you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you’ll ever know.

You did it, you made it through high school, even after all the late-night study sessions, pop quiz panics, and early-morning practices. And it’s crazy how through- out each of your lives with all the ups and downs, you have worked for this diploma, and now you have it. Now you’re going out into the “real world” as everyone has been telling you since freshman year.
The people you’ve met, and the memories you made are now just a funny story from high school you’ll
tell your college roommates about. You’re going to be moving out, getting adult jobs, going to school, and everything that was considered “normal” for you is changing to something you never imagined. You’re going to meet new people, overcome new obstacles, and learn more about yourself than you ever imagined.
At the end of the day though, while this may be the last time you see most of your high school classmates, never forget the memories you made and lessons you learned from them. While this may be the end of your high school journey, it’s the beginning of another, and knowing many of you, I do not doubt that you will go out into the world and make a difference. Good Luck!
