UIL Academics Team Wins First 5A State Championship
The UIL academics team won the state championship meet with 269 total points, which is the most in any classification in the state. This was also the team’s first year competing in the 5A division.
Senior Rylan Wilson scored the highest total in accounting in all classifications, and the accounting team had the highest overall score.
Junior Kate Vest had the highest score in the state in Literary Criticism with the team also achieving the highest overall score.
