Macaron Madness

Our staff is head over heels for macarons. Unfortunately, the only shops that sell macarons are either too expensive or too far of a drive, so three staff members, Ashlynn Roberts, Andrew Fritz and Jaclyn Harris, decided to make our own. Join us as we attempt to make the perfect salted caramel macaron. For this recipe, we used a combination of this macaron recipe from Preppy Kitchen and the Pioneer Woman’s Easy Caramel Sauce recipe as the filling. will be updating this article for each attempt we make at the dessert, so stay tuned!
We began this recipe by measuring out our almond flour, along with our other ingredients. It is important to weigh out the ingredients because macarons are incredibly easy to mess up. One small mistake, and everything can go wrong. (Ashlynn Roberts/ The Talon News)
