On Saturday, Mar. 15, the math and science teams competed in the Texas Math and Science Community meet.
It seems that each teams hard work has paid off as Argyle triumphed last Saturday.
“All the coaches are really pleased,” Math coach Mr. McCurdy said. “We won all four of the competitions and thought it went really well.”
These results are a very promising foreshadow of whats to come Friday, Mar. 21, at the District UIL meet.
“We get to do all 22 contests now and we are strong in just about everything,” Mr. McCurdy said. “Mr. Hurdle and Mr. Perkins have also been great additions.”
TMSCA competitor Matthew Hayden, who was placed second as a Senior Top Gun winning himself $1,000, now feels confident and prepared for UIL district this Friday.
“I was probably a little more nervous for the TMSCA meet just because there was some money on the line,” Matthew Hayden said. “I’m not that nervous for District though. We take so many practice tests and meets that it all sort of feel the same and takes the edge off.”
