Ground has officially been broken on the new wing at the high school. Construction crews have been hard at work the past few weeks and are expected to work on the expansion throughout summer break. Cafeteria renovations are underway, as the cafeteria closed on Monday. Some bathrooms in the school have also started being restored.

The new wing will be two stories tall and house twelve classrooms. An elevator will also be added as well as up to date furniture and new air conditioning units.

If weather permits and the construction crew stays on task, the updated section should be ready to be used by students and staff in August. Along with the new flooring, new restrooms and renovated cafeteria, the school will be like new come the first day back.
