Now that fall has finally arrived with some cool weather, here are a few suggestions for places to go and things to do this season:

1. Go to a haunted house, like the one put on by AHS theater.

Haunted houses are a fall tradition and a great way to get in the Halloween spirit. There is a one here at the school, on October 7th, 8th, 21st, 22nd, 28th and 30th from 6 to 10 pm.

2. Go to Fright Fest at Six Flags.

Fright Fest at Six Flags amusement park is a great outing for those who love roller coasters and haunted houses. Zombies and goblins stroll throughout the park after 7 p.m., looking to scare.

3. Go to a pumpkin patch.

A pumpkin patch is the perfect place to get those cute fall Instagram pictures and pick out a pumpkin to carve.

4. Carve pumpkins.

One of the best traditions of Halloween is to decorate the house with carved pumpkins, so set aside an evening to do this with your friends or family members.

5. Go on a walk to appreciate the beautiful trees.

One of the best parts of the season is when the leaves change color, so take a walk or jog through the forest and admire the world’s beauty around you.

6. Bake “pumpkiny” things.

There are plenty of options for fall baking. You can bake pumpkin bread, pie, bundt cakes, make lattes, muffins, and many others; they all taste amazing.

7. Light fall smelling candles.

Burn some candles and be surrounded by your favorite autumn scents like pumpkin, vanilla, apple cider, and marshmallow fireside.

8. Go to a corn or hay maze.

Get lost in a corn field with your friends for the afternoon as you debate over which way to turn at every bend.

9. Watch scary movies.

Cuddle up in a warm blanket, and stuff your face with popcorn at the nerve-wracking scenes as you watch your favorite halloween movie.

10. Go to a football game.

Go watch the boys of fall as they compete underneath the Friday night lights. Be sure to yell loud when they score.

11. Head to the fair.

Head out to the grand State Fair and have every deep fried food imaginable while enjoying exhilarating rides.

12. Eat candy corn.

Find some of the most glorious delicacy Fall has to offer: candy corn, and stuff yourself full.
