Volunteers arrived at Hilltop to help with the elementary school field day on May 11, 2016. From 9 am to 2 pm, Challenge Day Club (CDC) members ran multiple stations to help out with the event.

The day was split in having the younger students come out the first half of the day. After lunch, the older students were released to participate in the event.

CDC members were assigned stations to run throughout the day. From “wheelbarrow racing” to “birdie in a basket,” the volunteers ran 40 different stations throughout the day.

Parents and teachers also helped to make the day run smoothly by accompanying the elementary students with moving from station to station.

Teachers approached Challenge Day Club sponsor Jeanna Sutton and shared that students were most excited that the high school was willing to come over and help at their field day.

Requiring three buses, the 86 volunteers returned to school during sixth period, wrapping up CDC’s fifth year in helping at Hilltop’s field day.
