Jessica Jones TV Show Review

A Netflix original series, Jessica Jones, premiered it’s first season in November 2015 and recently earned its rights to a second season. Since the show is a Netflix series the whole season is released together, which made Jessica Jones a perfect show to spend your day binge watching.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones, is about a girl in her 20s. In the show Jessica is trying to turn around her personal life, while being a private investigator and having some of the superhero powers. For example, she can punch through walls and stop cars while they are moving. Being a private investigator Jones is responsible for finding the worst in people. The show is based in New York City making it entertaining to see the daily struggles Jones faces.

Throughout the show she is haunted by the past of a guy, Kilgrave, she was forced to date. Kilgrave brain washed her into thinking she should date him yet Kilgrave ended up raping Jessica. She later found out he had committed the same crime to other women too. Yet Jessica was always his favorite victim, so in season one Kilgrave comes back for her. Therefore, he is the super villain of the show.

If you enjoy watching mysterious and dark shows then Jessica Jones is the perfect show for you. Also, since the show has the Marvel Super Hero presence in it, it’s interesting to watch Jessica use her powers when fighting against people.
