Senior year is a time to reminisce on all the memories throughout high school and treasure all the new ones made.

Argyle has several groups of people stepping out of their daily routines and going out of their way to participate in a handful of events, as well as make new friends.

A crew of senior girls came up with the clever idea of going back to old times and joining a rec. soccer team.

“We had a team growing up from when we were four until fourteen years old,” Senior Kenzie Cvar said.

“Denton Soccer Association needed more teams so we reached out to our old coach and started back up our childhood team, the Blue Jays.”

Senior year for most consists of “last first times” and “I’ll always remember”.

It’s sad for many, but fun and exciting things are in store for so many Argyle students heading into college.

“We grew apart at the beginning of high school, but I always missed that team and the good times I had playing.” Senior Heather Lindemann said.

“When the opportunity came up to play one last time, I felt like I couldn’t say no.”

Twenty years from now, no matter it’s a group of friends, an old high school love, Friday night lights, or a teacher, something will have made an impact on you, and soon you think about growing up and childhood memories.

“I’m looking forward to all the memories I’ll make with my friends.” Heather Lindemann said.

Competitive or not, the group of girls were more than excited to relive their childhood memories once again.

“I don’t get to be on the field with them, but I love being able to provide snacks for them or make them brownies.” Hirschorn said.

The 2016 graduating class is reaching their halfway point of the school year, and students are recalling things yet to be done.

“Make ammends with people,” Micki Hirschorn said.

“Senior year is everyone’s last chance to finally come together and make memories that will last a lifetime. There is no reason to have issues with anyone when you have less than a year left with them. Befriend as many people as possible, because this is your last chance.”
