One of Argyle’s newest teachers, Kevin Roberts, always knew teaching was in his future.

Roberts’ attended Mount Grey Lock Regional High School in Massachusetts before studying at the music conservatory in Philadelphia, also known as the Curtis Institute of Music.

After that, Roberts spent a little time in Chile, only to have his passion for teaching excel.

“I always was a teacher,” Roberts said. “Both my parents were teachers and even when I was living in Chile I was a university professor.”

Almost 20 years later, Roberts moved to Texas to gain his masters in the Art of Teaching Physics at the University of Texas at Dallas. Leading him to our high school where he is currently teaching Physics.

While Roberts has devoted much of his time to teaching, he also makes time to train for Triathlons; even through the streets of Argyle.

“I love to run, to swim, and to bike,” Roberts said. “Your parents have probably beeped their horn at me riding my bicycle through Argyle.”

Roberts has come a long way from growing up in Massachusetts to living in Chile and now winding up in Argyle, but Roberts, actually, couldn’t feel more at home.

“It actually reminds me of the high school I grew up at out in the countryside,” Roberts said. “It’s just a quality community.”
