Blue Bell, who is one of our vendors, has issued a recall on several products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.  Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can cause illness presented as fever and muscle aches, sometimes preceded by diarrhea or other gastrointestinal symptoms.  I want to assure parents that the district is aware of this recall and the minimal amount of affected product in our inventory was immediately pulled and destroyed by Blue Bell.
