2015 Spring Exam Exemption Policies

The following policies apply to all students and all subjects –

  1. Students must take their college final exam in all dual credit classes
  2. To attain eligibility, students must meet ALL requirements listed below:
    1. Receive 3 or fewer tardies to the class being exempted
    2. Receive no discipline referral for the class being exempted
    3. With regard to grades and absences, use the following scale:
      1. Semester Grade of 100-95 – student must have 4 or fewer absences
      2. Semester Grade of 94-85 – student must have 3 or fewer absences
  • Semester Grade below 85 – student must take the final exam
  1. As a reminder, the following documented absences do not count toward exemptions:
    1. School Sponsored Fieldtrips
    2. School Sponsored Extracurricular Activities
    3. College Days – Junior and Seniors only (2 per year allowed)
    4. Court Dates
    5. Religious Holy Days
    6. Medical Absences – must meet all three requirements to be coded “Medical”
      1. Student must attend school for a portion of the school day
      2. Student must go to the medical/dental appointment on that same day
  • Student must submit medical documentation upon return to school
