Dallas has added a new gem to its growing city. The Kylde Warren Park has been added right above Woodall Rogers freeway between uptown and downtown Dallas. This park has many wonderful attributes making it the popular destination it has become.

Klyde Warren Park has many activities happening within it. Instead of being like other parks, the Woodall Rogers Park Foundation decided to make a park that contained many activities happening within it. Events like yoga, zumba, and croquet fill the 5.2 acre grounds. Many people will come the park in work out gear anticipating the classes ahead. Also, there is a nicely fenced dog park and child playground. The playground has lots of equipment for children to play on and interesting structures. It is very well placed, and does not ruin the scenery of the park.

Once the work out in finished, or people are just stopping by to grab lunch in the park, there are numerous food trucks to choose from. With styles food like Mexican, Vietnamese, or American the options are vast. Also, on hot summer days when everyone is in need of something cool, there is a wonderful ice cream truck. The lines can get long though, but the food wait is worth it. On the whole, it is affordable too. Most meals cost about $7 to $9. But if still hungry and food trucks don’t sound that appealing, there is always the Savor restaurant. It is located on the park grounds and has a very modern style. This restaurant serves mainly shared plates to give off a pub-like feeling.

The park itself is set in a very nice location. It has many other building and things to do around it. The Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) is walking distance along with the Nasher Sculpture Center, City Performance Hall, and Crow Collection of Asian Art.

Overall, the park is a great place to go on the weekends. Beside the sheer amount of people, Klyde Warren Park has many appealing factors. This summer it is definitely going to be the hot spot of Dallas. With activites, food, and a wonderful setting, the park is a must see.
