To pay remembrance to the life of Alex Betzhold, this week the students, staff, and parents choose to honor his memory with ‘Be the Change’.

On ‘High Five Monday’, as the students weave through the halls between classes, they give each other resounding high fives.

On ‘Give a Hug Tuesday’, the students frequently pause to clasp one another around the shoulder in the spirit of the friendship Alex showed towards his classmates.

On ‘No Judge Wednesday’, the students are encouraged to come to school in sweats and casual wear to signify that appearance is superficial compared to character.

On ‘Passion Thursday’, the students dress according to their interests or passions, such as a shirt related to college, or sports, a cause or other pursuit.

And on Friday, Alex’s Sock Day, the students pull up their socks as they go about the day and treat one another with the same kindness as the A-Train, Alex, was known to do.
