2013 has been a great year of football for north Texas from the high school level all the way in to the college level (sorry Cowboys). Argyle football brought home their first state title, Denton Guyer brought home yet another state title, and now the University of North Texas has brought home it’s very first bowl game victory over UNLV. Although UNT had a very senior heavy team (22 seniors in fact), the coaching staff is superb and it will be interesting to see how the University of North Texas’ football program builds out from here.
