This week my dad held a business party at our house. After hearing the disappointing news that our caterer couldn’t make it; we began scrambling for food options. Our first “to do” was to run to the grocery store. Thankfully, my mom has an eye for mouthwatering appetizers and she decided on the raspberry chipotle sauce cream cheese appetizer. All you need for this tasty hors d’oeuvre is a bar of cream cheese, raspberry chipotle sauce, and your favorite crackers (also, a festive plate is always appealing).  This dish is great because it is easy to make, not too heavy (therefore, just the right amount before your entrée), and not a messy food to snack on. The only problem is that this appetizer goes fast, so make sure to have extra ingredients to replenish when needed. The recipe is shown below:

 Ingredients:

8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature

3/4 cup raspberry chipotle sauce

Directions:

1. Place cream cheese on shallow serving dish.

2. Pour raspberry chipotle sauce over top of cream cheese and allow it to drizzle down sides.
