The holiday season is here and following it, the new fashion trends. Of course, jeans, sweaters, and warm coats are being worn. However, there are some other styles that are in for this season that many people have been boasting about. They are very cute and extremely warm.

“The main thing I look forward to about winter is the boots,” shoe-loving freshman Allison McNiel said.

Boots. The shoes of cold weather. Every Christmas time, some style of boot become the ‘in’ thing to wear. This year, it is riding boots. The look originates from equestrian riding outfits. The horse lovers, when readying to saddle up, wear boots that go to right under the knee. Obviously, fashion designers loved this cut, decided to add laces and zippers, and sell them to the fashion world. The look definitely caught on. This style of boot looks especially fashionable when paired with dark wash skinny jeans in any type of Christmas wonderland.

When winter comes around, normally it is very difficult to find fashionable items that still keep the consumers warm. This season, fur is the layering way to go. There are a couple fur accessories like hats, scarves, and coats, but the fur frezy lies within vests. All the woman are now wearing fitted fur vests. They are warm and generally give a nice slimming look.

“A couple weeks ago, I was getting my dress for some party while trying to find some type of layer to go with it. All I could find were fur vest! I was in fashion heaven,” freshman Haley Emerson said.

The temperatures are dropping, and normally fashion has girls wearing strapless dresses to their holiday parties. This season is different. Long sleeve dresses are what the fashion world is raving about. Tight, floaty, or laced dresses can look fabulous this holiday season if they also have long sleeves.

“I love the style because they’re warm and I feel like they’re super classy,” eighth grade fashinista Lizzie Dagg said.

Long sleeves are the perfect Christmas holiday attire.
