Coach Oberle, head volleyball coach and social studies teacher, was chosen as the featured teacher for the week of November 11-15. We picked his brain with some interesting questions and got to know him a little better.

“What led you to your decision to become a teacher?”

I had a lot of respect and admiration for my high school teachers/coaches. They molded my life greatly. I thought it’d be neat if I could do the same.

“What is one of your favorite traits in a student?”

Honesty. Too many students cheat. I have a great deal of respect for the few that didn’t.

“If you had one last meal to eat, what would it be?”

Rib eye steak, baked potato (loaded), dragon fingers, white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake.

“Would you rather have the power to be invisible or the power to read minds? Why?”

Invisible, I don’t want to know what most people are thinking.

“What’s your favorite holiday? Why?”

Christmas because of food and family.
