Friday night began uncertainly when the Eagles fumbled on the opening kickoff, but it was effectively their only mistake of the game. For nearly three hours the guys passed, dashed, punted, and tackled their way to an easy victory, accruing a final score of 45 points to 7.
Lead QB Brandon Boyzuick suffered an injury midway through the first quarter and passed the ball, metaphorically, to Ian Sadler. Connor Wilson dominated the first half of the game, scoring the first two touchdowns of the night. Sam Sizelove charged through the defenders in the 2nd quarter for the third touchdown, followed shortly after by Hunter Treadwell. Wilson inevitably scored yet another touchdown and secured the Eagles’ victory; that is, if the combined prowess of Ian Sadler, Taylor Sweatt, and Cooper Rodgers hadn’t already done so.
Will the streak continue next week? Next Friday it’s going to be Eagles versus Eagles as the boys head to Dallas to face Wilmer-Hutchins. So come on out and make some noise!
