District Results

The Argyle girls, led by Leyton King, took second in the 10-3A tournament behind Carrollton Ranchview to secure their berth in the regional tournament.  Leyton came from behind the first day to claim the District Title with a 1.5 day total of 143 (3 strokes over 2nd place Rachel Withers of Carrollton Ranchview).

Due to inclement weather, the tournament was cut to 27 holes, forcing the golfers to play in 30 degree wind chill temperatures on Wednesday.

Rounding out Argyle’s scores were Jesse Sheridan (168) and Delaney Sain (168) , Marisa Roden (175) and Logan Sommers (177).

Regional Tourney

The Argyle girls finished 11th with a two-day 874 but improved by 20 shots from the first to second round.  The Lady Eagles were led by Marisa Roden (210) and Leyton King (211).  Freshman Marisa Roden recorded her best round ever in competition on the second day  with a 96 (48-48).

Jesse Sheridan and Delaney Sain finished the tourney with 228.

Logan Sommers had a 2 day total of 241.

Coach Townsend reminded the team, that overall the team had improved 60 strokes from last year’s regional performance, and that with all golfers returning, we have a good chance to move up in the regional standings for next year.
